Downsouth 6,176
With the constant mention of Doombar from the likes of Prowler and Stubbzy and a few others now beginning to mention it I have a suggestion that for the fun of it we should all try. Because I have never tried it myself I think that the first game of the season all of us who will not be going and following the game on the forum should participate in a Doombar session and then give our honest opinions of the contents:D Also doing it then gives us all time to find out where you can obtain the stuff in your own locale. So who is in for the first oneboro forum Doombar day?
Borodane 6,246
Can't imagine I can get it here. Good suggestion though.
Downsouth 6,176
You might be able to Google BD and see if there is anywhere in Denmark where they could make a delivery to you
Prowler 197
I'm in :P
boroinbishop 65
They have it on in Wetherspoons in bishop every now and then and Tesco has started selling it here too, couldn't get it anywhere before!
Prowler 197
The brewery is only about 2 hours away so you can get it all over Cornwall, same with Tribute but that's even closer!
OldManGravz 1,311
What actually is it though? Bitter/Beer/Lager/IPA?
Prowler 197
It's a bitter/amber ale. Depends who you ask, some places call it bitter and the bottle has "amber ale" on it.
OldManGravz 1,311
Ahhh. In the words of Duncan Banatyne, "I'm out"
Nics 8
Think they only sell beers online for UK.. as in 'only deliver to UK'. http://www.sharpsbrewery.co.uk/shop/ Slightly expensive innit? Buying beer at the pub is almost cheaper, haha.
Prowler 197
Pfft, sack up and drink a real mans drink! :P Think they only sell beers online for UK.. as in 'only deliver to UK'. http://www.sharpsbrewery.co.uk/shop/ Slightly expensive innit? Buying beer at the pub is almost cheaper, haha. It's about £1.50-£2 in shops. Can usually get 3 or 4 for £5/£6 on ale offers.
Nics 8
Carling is my main choice. In memory of our cup journey
HoyteForLeftBack 189
It's very very nice, but it's not the best I've ever had
Prowler 197
Oh, it's not the best but it's bloody lovely! Old Crafty or King Goblin are a lot better but they come under "premium ales" and are a lot more expensive. :P
HoyteForLeftBack 189
Ohh I agree value for money it's up there. 3 bottles for a fiver in tesco, I usually get 3 copper dragon and 3 doombars. Deuchars isn't a half bad pint. But my all time favourite is probably T Taylor landlord. Mmmmmmmmm :)
