Boateng's Future Remains Uncertain
George Boateng has rated his chances of playing for Middlesbrough FC next year as "50/50". The Dutch midfielder still has one year left on his contract but has been linked with a move to Celtic, Rangers and Sunderland.
Boateng has spent 6 years at Boro but after loosing his captaincy and the arrival of Didier Digard it seems that his future at the club is uncertain.
In an interview with SkySports, Boateng said "I still have one year to go at Middlesbrough and as it stands I have not had any major offers."
"But I am ambitious, I am open, I am still very hungry to achieve something in the short career I still have."
"Every day, every season in the Premier League at the moment is a bonus so I'm looking forward to it."
"But at the moment I haven't had any offers that tell me I can move on, but it's all subject to change."
"If that is the case I would be interested, but at the moment I'm still contracted to Middlesbrough and I've had great years there."
"They are moving on, they are having new players and managers and have been doing well for the last year or two, so we will see what the future brings for me."
