Boro Beat 10 Men Stoke
Mddlesbrough FC beat Stoke City 2-1, with Afonso Alves and Tuncay Sanli scoring for Boro.
Stoke City started the game lively and created several half chances.
However, after 35 minutes, Stoke defender Amdy Faye went in two-footed on Shawky and was shown a striaght red card.
From the resulting free kick Afonso Alves curled the ball into the top right corner to send Boro 1-0 up.
Boro started the second hals positively, passing the ball around well.
Against the run of play Stoke broke away to equalise. The ball was crossed from the right and under pressure Justin Hoyte put in his own net.

With 6 miutes left, substitute Digard shot from 25 yards and the ball made its way to Tuncay who placed the ball in the bottom corner.
