Boro Going Green
Middlesbrough FC are going green, after beign given planning permission to build a 125m wind turbine.
The wind turbine will be located in the east car park and will be capable of producing three megawatts of electricity. Any surpluss energy will be sold to the National Grid.
“At 125m high the wind turbine will be a prominent feature on the Middlesbrough skyline.
“When viewed at close quarters in the context of the stadium and within the riverside setting, it is the development control view that it is not overbearing or dominant.

“From a more distant view the slender nature of the structure and the pale colouring help the structure to sit well within the townscape.”
