Downing Going Nowhere!
Middlesbrough FC star Stewart Downing has again been linked with Liverpool FC over a possible move.
However, Boro boss Gareth Southgate has insisted that he is going no where,
"I keep reading it, but the sands of time are running out and there is no approach," he said.
"Clubs know we have no interest in doing any business there, so I presume that's why they haven't bothered”.

After weeks of speculation, Spurs made an inqury about Downings availability. Southgate has made it clear that he has no intentions of selling the midfielder, "Spurs have expressed an interest in Stewart but we're not interested in selling him," he told the official Boro website.
"We think we need to keep hold of our best players. If Tottenham are really interested then they have not shown that in the way they have approached it, so there's nothing doing there."
"We feel that keeping the squad we have together is the most important thing we can do."
