Wheater and Johnson Score For England U21

David Wheater and Adam Johnson both scored for England U21s, in their thrilling 3-2 win over Wales.

David Wheater has surely done all he can to impress England manager Fabio Capello, after a fine display at Wigan and scoring a goal in the crucial U21 game at Ninian Park.

David Wheater opened the scoring for England, who were already 2-0 down, after 19 minutes. The Redcar-born defender rose up well, to powerfully head home Jamie O'Hara's corner.

Adam Johnson then made it 2-2 after 35 minutes. The left winger latched onto a Mark Noble pass and cut inside, curling an exquisite shot into the bottom corner.

Gabriel Agbonlahor scored the winner for England with 61 minutes on the clock.
