Mr_Maz 2,899
With the misery and despair surrounding our limp end to the campaign. Can we all step back and agree that this kid is going to be one hell of player. Way ahead of Gibson at his age and a much better footballer.

Blanco 4,917
Yes I agree with that. Fry is a very good prospect for both Boro and England

Only thing Gibson has over him are his leadership qualities. Dael's a cracking prospect, with regard to his leadership qualities, Dael's still only 21, you need a manager who sees him as the 1st choice CB in the team , that's when you'll find out if he has the quality to be a future captain and leader. SouthernSmoggie 4,242
Fry, Wing, Tavernier, Fletcher could be the spine of a young forward thinking team. Few experienced championship players in there too like Ayala, Howson, Savile, Britt... there's life beyond this dreadful period.

Good keeper (if we can somehow keep randolph) and then look at an Ayala, a solid centre half, a little width and a finisher and there is no reason why we can't be competitive on a budget (actually playing entertaining foorball)

Agreed but prem vultures will circle are youngsters and we are a selling club. Sad to say but just the harsh reality.
LinoJo3 3,191
Way ahead of Gibson at his age and a much better footballer. Gibson had a good solid season in the premiership for us and was part of a record breaking defensive partnership at this level. Does fry have big potential? Yes ‘Way ahead’ of Gibson? No where near. The next step is to reduce the wage budget and none of the young lads will be on much vs downing, Ayala, Randolph, etc... I think we will see a huge turnover this summer, at some fire sale prices (e.g. Britt) and how well that is managed depends on the quality of our recruitment (?)

Well the one benefit of Pulis preferring centre halfs on the wing to Tavernier is maybe he's gone back under the radar for potential buyers.... Wing is good but not good enough for a Prem team. I could see Fry maybe going, sadly, especially as he's playing a lot at England youth level. Think we'll keep Fletcher.
J.T. 640
Speaking of Gibson, any chance of him coming back? Surely he can’t be enjoying it at Burnley. Throw them Flint and Ayala in exchange. Would absolutely love a centre back partnership of Gibson and Fry next season.
